I am quite impressed that the VVV Survey found infrared evidence of a cluster of as many as 58 galaxies formally hidden by part of the Milky Way. As you all have important astronomy stuff to do I expect none of you have time to think up proper names for the 58 galaxies (so they aren’t only referred to by boring NGC numbers). So, to make your lives easier I have come up with suggested names for all 58 (or so) galaxies you discovered:
Grank, Slybothic, Xorlab, Binky, Snorftron, Exkorth, Jup, Zlangeroo, Cooob, Alplerbo, Dre’hadoo, Hark, Slaxobort, Yeglu, Swupler, Klangthorp, Wolololo, Nuwgleeg, Glupew, Iverptoe, Muquooze, Aptroxia, Habbleprowa, Vewloop, Cranston, Nosnahoj, Lrak, Pwang, Blimpkin, Ulbraxnia, Raiulpramp, Zellblack, Ormothropy, Jamp, Aglletrops, Ormp, Zeebleth, Orkork, Tyklox, Wlamff , B’Torrnik, Yoof, Shkloidal, Mweeerport, Gagegigogugy, Quexemblorgle, Zeemth, Dluj, Aximpoo, Ulpitror, Vomp, Thywert, Gijuxtrimp, Eklpoat, Werntoscupe, Fubblot, Knoyler, and Flaubtarks. (Hopefully none of these words means “poo poo” or something in a language other than English.)
I hope this is of some help to you and hope all 58 of these names become official, but if even one does I will post a video of me doing the happy dance.
